CHEMFIX ASPHALT fixing system for use with chemical anchoring.
A metal anchor bolt with an internal thread which is designed for removable fixings in asphalt, combined with a chemical anchor resin for high durability and ease of fixing.

THESE FIXINGS WHEN USED WITH CHEMICAL ANCHOR RESIN ARE CAPABLE OF AROUND 1kN TO 1.8kN TENSION LOADS – THIS IS DEPENDENT ON THE QUALITY AND DEPTH OF TARMAC AND THESE ARE VERY CONSERVATIVE ESTIMATES. HIGHER LOADS ARE POSSIBLE BUT ON SITE TESTS ARE RECOMMENDED. AS A RESULT WE DO NOT PUBLISH LOAD DATA.

THESE FIXINGS ARE SUPERIOR TO EXPANSION ANCHORS IN TARMAC AS THEY DO NOT IMPART STRESS ON THE FIXING AREA EITHER DURING INSTALLATION OR THROUGHOUT ITS LIFE.

In the Elephant and Castle project which you can download in the case study link below, loads of 4.5kN were achieved using undercut drill holes.
