BBA For Metolux Metofix 3-1

Chemfix has been issued with the fourth iteration of the BBA certification which it first achieved in 2012 for Metofix 3-1.

Metofix 3-1 is specified as an epoxy adhesive for bonding cut bricks and pavers and the fixing of brick slips to cast concrete structural units, stainless steel or powder coated lintels, cement-particle board or glass reinforced plastic (GRP) substrates under factory conditions. It may also be used or the repair of damaged brick slips.

Crucially, the BBA specifies the maximum height of use in a building structure of 18 metres.

For applications above 18 metres, users must use Metofix CB-A2 brick adhesive which carries and A1 and A2 fire rating certification.
