Additional Rebar diameters have been added to the ETA Assessment 13/0470 (Chemfix 500) besides the existing diameters of 8-40mm giving a totally comprehensive coverage in post-installed installations.
This ETA Assessment covers post-installed connection, either by anchoring or overlap connection joint, of reinforcing bars in existing structures made of normal weight concrete. Reinforcing bars made of steel with a diameter from 8-40mm and injection mortar Chemfix 500 are used for Rebar connections. The rebar is placed into a drilled hole and anchored via the bond between rebar, injection mortar and concrete.
This method is widely used in all types of construction applications.
