1. It is important to use the correct size adaptor according to the rebar diameter. The adaptor size is etched on the face of the conical section.

The outer casing section of the adaptor is dropped over the top of the rebar fixing, to rest on top of the testing unit. The conical section is then opened up and placed around the rebar and slid down all the way until it is housed in the casing.

2. Take up any slack in the machine and fixing ready for the initial test loading. Mechanical grip in the threaded & tapered conical section ensures there is no slippage.

3. Commence testing.
