 Epoxy Brick Adhesive

Epoxy Brick Adhesive 1:1 is a solvent free thixotropic two part general purpose building adhesive. Once mixed Epoxy Brick Adhesive forms a powerful structural adhesive offering high chemical resistance. Site application is improved due to its damp tolerant nature and ability to through cure at relatively low temperatures down to 5oC.

OUTSTANDING FEATURES

  • Easy mixing ratio, 1:1 by weight or volume
  • Thixotropic can be used on vertical and horizontal surfaces
  • Excellent chemical resistance
  • Very good mechanical properties
  • Good colour stability
  • Excellent adhesion even in damp conditions
  • Can be used to bond virtually all building materials, including glass, wood, concrete, metals etc
  • Supplied unpigmented to allow for easier colouring
  • Excellent low temperature performance

Preparation

Prior to application all substrates must be sound, clean and free from surface water.

Smooth or coated surfaces should be abraded or scored before bonding.

Application

Mix the base and an activator component thoroughly together until an even colour and consistency is achieved. Mixing is best carried out on a smooth clean board using a wide bladed scraper. Apply by trowel, spatula or scraper with a minimum thickness of 1mm. On damp surfaces work the Epoxy Brick Adhesive well into the substrate and ensure bonding takes place while the adhesive is still mobile and tacky. The components should be supported during curing to eliminate potential slippage.
